Military Forces Eliminate Terrorists, Capture Logistics Network in North East

Troops under Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) have eliminated more than 20 insurgents and taken several of their logistics providers into custody during a series of coordinated raids carried out across the North East over the past week.

The operations, conducted from August 23 to August 30, 2025, were bolstered by air support and local security groups. According to a statement released by the Army on Tuesday, September 2, the missions were executed in areas including Gujba, Gubio, Sabsawa, Whumtakum in Chibok LGA, Mandarari in Konduga LGA, Gajigana in Magumeri LGA, as well as Konduga, Banki and Loskori Kura in Mafa LGA.

During the sweep, troops neutralised over 20 terrorists in various OPHK sectors, apprehended collaborators and logistics handlers, and seized a range of weapons and supplies. Among the recovered items were multiple AK-47 rifles, RPG launchers and bombs, large quantities of 7.62mm ammunition, and other logistical materials.

The troops also safely destroyed several Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and intercepted 242 bags of NPK fertiliser believed to be intended for bomb-making. The military noted that these continuous operations have restricted terrorist movements and improved security conditions for residents in the region.

The high command praised the troops for their resilience and urged them to maintain the ongoing pressure in the counter-insurgency campaign.
