VP Osinbajo: President Buhari Focused on Delivering Campaign Promises, Not 2019 Elections

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has assured Nigerians that President Muhammadu Buhari is fully focused on fulfilling his current term agenda and is not considering the 2019 elections at this time.

Osinbajo made the statement while speaking at the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2018 in Davos, Switzerland. He emphasized that the president’s priority is to achieve as many of his campaign promises as possible.

“The President has stated that he is entirely focused on this term,” Osinbajo said. “He wants to ensure that he delivers on as much as possible the promises that have been made. So he is completely focused. In our government, we are not talking about 2019.”

The vice president’s remarks highlight the administration’s commitment to addressing policy goals and governance matters before turning attention to future electoral plans.
